Sabre is seeking a talented Lead Java Software Engineer to support the Multi-Source team within Air Products organization.

Air Products play critical role in Sabre Travel Network and Sabre IT Airlines Shopping portfolio, being responsible for managing multiple product that form Sabre Shopping Platform. Our products and systems process billions of shopping and booking transactions while connecting thousands of airline and agency customers with millions of travelers every day.

In the Travel Distribution industry Airline Shopping and GDS Shopping are ones of the most critical products to acquire GDS and Airlines customers and offer airlines’ content through many different channels. Multi Source platform is about horizontal and vertical expansion of our content distribution (shopping included) capabilities. Horizontal expansion means building and expanding capabilities to source, store and expose travel content beyond our traditional landscape. Vertical expansion means building capabilities that offer added business value on top of the content we distribute.

 
 Role and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with development teams, SRE team, product team, and other departments in all stages of development.

Defines work items, reviews code and verifies correctness of delivered tasts.

Provides technical direction to the team to manage technical challenges and risks and identifying mitigation strategies.

Develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software.

Encourages high coding standards, using best practices and high quality.

Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

Designs, plans, develops and improves applications using routine and advanced technology.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of related experience

Experience in fast paced Software Development in Agile environment

Expertise in: Java, Spring, Web Services

Experience with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker

Very good knowledge of cloud based technologies (GCP)

Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Very good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
