The purpose of a lead operator is to assist the Lift Operations Manager in maintaining a standard of excellence on the mountain. You must be a model operator able to load and manage any chair smoothly and efficiently. You must also be able to pass a skiing or snowboarding competency exam as well as be certified to drive a snowmobile. You need to possess the initiative to look around and see what needs to be done without being told. In order to accomplish your responsibilities, you will be riding on the clock as a means of transportation from chair to chair. You will also be operating a snowmobile. Considering this you must be mature and conduct yourself in such a way that you are above reproach or criticism. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your privileges. If you cannot conduct yourself responsibly, you will lose your position as lead operator.
