**Lead Maintenance Mechanic $29-30/HR** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to continuously learn. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and fixing mechanical issues. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems, including cam drive systems, gearboxes, conveyors, and vacuum pumps. Additionally, you will lead a small team to ensure safety and productivity. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues. + Change out components as part of preventive maintenance. + Work with cam drive systems, gearboxes, conveyors, and sensors. + Reset encoders and servos/drives. + Run vacuum pumps and troubleshoot slow-running machines. + Lead a team of 3-6 people, conducting daily safety briefings and managing work roles. + Maintain production timelines and ensure workflow efficiency. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical technical aptitude. + Experience with gears, cam, and crank shafts. + Leadership qualities and ability to lead through influence. + Understanding of low voltage electrical systems (24V or below). + Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in automotive mechanics. + Ability to explain the workings of a CAM or car engine. + Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn continuously. **Why Work Here?** Join a well-known company with a strong reputation for being a great place to work. You will work the night shift (3-2-2-3 schedule from 8pm-8am), with flexibility required for training on either day or night shifts. Onboarding starts on Mondays. The plant operates 24/7 and employs around 900 people, providing a large and dynamic work environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Sumter, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.
