Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Lead Building Maintenance Technician

The Lead Building Maintenance Technician will provide mechanical and technical support for our client Campus, including perform a variety of maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, basic carpentry, and other skilled trades. This position will also oversee activities and support other Building Maintenance and the GMP/non-GMP painting technicians. 

Maintenance

Maintains building architectural components: roof repairs, ceiling tiles, floor tiles/base cove, door hardware’s etc.Use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order initiation and completion, including generating work order reportsPerform a variety of preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulic systems related to facility equipmentMaintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumpsAssist in maintaining lighting system (interior & exterior)Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts, machines and equipmentAssist with plant inspections related to facilities for mechanical and equipment problems, review, examine site, and determine appropriate actionCompletes special tasks if needed that include but are not limited to painting, locksmith work, office furniture repair and general maintenance as assignedOther assigned tasks may be typically expected of the Lead Building Operations Technician roleAccurately completes work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair dutiesWorks day shift; including possible weekend & night workMaintain a clean and safe working environmentRespond effectively to all emergenciesAny and all other duties and tasks assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

Skills in plumbing, mechanical basic electrical and construction aptitude a mustSpecific technical skills in hanging wall coverings, hanging and finishing drywall and plaster and framingProvide all other building maintenance repair and restorative procedures as directedMaintains records for work completed in a neat and organized mannerProficiency `in computer skills is required (MS Office; Google docs, CMMS, etc.)Knowledge of NFPA Standards and Local/State Codes is desirableHigh school graduate or equivalent education and experience. Apprenticeship or associates degree is preferredCandidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s licenseCompletion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of 4+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical and constructionMust have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitudeMust have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and writtenAbility to apply mechanical principles and practices in a variety of skilled-trade areasComply with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and proceduresMay be require to work overtime to meet deadlinesMay need to work some weekends, evenings, or shutdown to support business needsA team-first mentality and eagerness to set & meet aggressive goalsA positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to learn and help grow our businessExhibits exceptional work ethic

Estimated total compensation for this position:

83,200.00 – 86,320.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
