Lead Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician - Cambridge City, IN** **Available Shift** + 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday **Starting Pay Range:** + $30/hr. - $35/hr. **Job Description** Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance related to equipment, acting as the first level of escalation for lower-level technicians. Responsibilities include inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions, dismantling and rebuilding machinery, and performing routine preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy 3 weeks of vacation and 3 floating holidays. This role offers training to become a Maintenance Supervisor within 1-2 years. **Responsibilities** + Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for equipment. + Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions. + Dismantle and rebuild machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools. + Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance tasks such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, and checking fluid levels. + Lead the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program, including performing repairs, verifying technician findings, and tracking performance changes. + Utilize prints, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs as necessary. + Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools like hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, or electronic testing devices. + Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, including control field devices, contactors, starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, HMIs, interlock safety devices, etc. + Mentor junior technicians and peers, providing positive motivation and guidance. + Review and complete work orders in a timely manner and conduct necessary maintenance or repairs. + Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times and ensure all maintenance personnel do as well. + Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and communicate with Plant Management about any maintenance issues. + Complete daily reports outlining maintenance or repairs conducted over the course of the shift. + Participate in continued education and training in related multi-craft skills. + Participate in root cause analysis events for the local site. + Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. + Support all safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives and policies. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience. + Electrical Troubleshooting. + PLC Troubleshooting. + Packaging Machine Repair. + Knowledge of machines, diagnostic tools, and hand tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance. + Ability to communicate complex information effectively. + Ability to lead a team in troubleshooting mechanical, controls, and electrical issues. + Proficiency in basic computer programs like Microsoft Office. + Strict adherence to safety procedures and policies. + Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions. + Subject matter expertise on up to three site-level assets or industrial standard skills. + Ability to lead site improvement projects, including performing installation and operational quality checks (IQ/OQ). + Ability to operate industrial-size equipment safely and efficiently. + Adequate hand dexterity to manipulate or move objects. + Ability to work well with others in a team environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with troubleshooting, mechanical, conveyor maintenance, packaging machine, machine repair, and electrical troubleshooting. + Ability to mentor and provide safety training to junior technicians. + Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. **Work Environment** Shifts: Will not exceed 55 hours/week.
