**Job Title:** Lead Maintenance Technician **Location:** Des Moines, Iowa **Job Type:** Contract to Hire **Shift:** Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM **Job Description:** Seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Lead to join our team in a highly automated plant. This role involves working with complex electrical systems, including up to 600V electrical circuits, low-voltage machinery controls, photocells, VFD motor controls, and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and training a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring proper preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, organizing the parts room, and providing overall structure to the maintenance team. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations, while also ensuring that safety and operational standards are met. **Responsibilities:** + Work with electrical systems up to 600V, including low voltage machinery controls and VFD motor controls. + Handle photocells, troubleshoot PLCs, and perform minor program edits. + Manage fabrication and plumbing projects as needed. + Lead and train maintenance technicians to develop their skills and knowledge. + Implement and edit preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure equipment is running efficiently. + Organize the parts room and systems to ensure inventory is properly maintained. + Provide structure and direction to the maintenance team to maintain smooth operations. **Skills:** + Experience with electrical systems (3-phase, 480V+). + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and minor program editing. + Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and mechanical systems. + Extensive experience in industrial maintenance, including working with pumps, presses, PLCs, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and schematics. **Additional Qualifications:** + Strong electrical maintenance and PLC troubleshooting skills. + Ability to lead and train a team effectively. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. **Why Work Here?** + Competitive compensation and benefits package. + Opportunity to be part of the leadership team as the second-in-command under the maintenance manager. + Join a growing company and contribute to its continued success. **Job Type & Location:** + This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa. **If you're ready to step into a leadership role and have the required electrical and mechanical skills, we encourage you to apply today!** **** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
