Lead Management Analyst
Summary This position is located in the HHS, CMS, Office of Acquisition and Grants Management, Customer Relations Group (CRG), Div. of Business Operations & Communications (DBOC). As a Lead Management Analyst, GS-0343-14, you will coordinate and provide technical assistance and direction relative to the operation and administration of OAGM function areas, as well as provide input and recommendations to the CRG Director and DBOC Director on human capital issues. Responsibilities Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor’s instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. Serve as coach, facilitator; and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. Prepares or directs the preparation of correspondence and briefing documents to assure awareness of all such matters. Analyzes incoming information and assignments. Attends meetings and conferences with the CRG group director and DBOC division director and provides background data on the basis of research performed in preparation for the meetings and conferences. Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Experience conducting special assignments and briefings on management and operations issues for senior leadership; AND 2) Experience serving as a consultant to management on human capital management activities (examples: recruitment strategy/planning, organizational change/analysis, etc.); AND 3) Experience writing and editing a variety of materials (reports, memorandums, emails) to ensure content accuracy, grammar, and spelling. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying. Supervisory positions must report a minimum 2 times per week and non-Supervisory positions must report a minimum of 2 times per pay period.
