This position requires a minimum office presence of 5 days per week and is located exclusively in the posted location(s). No relocation is offered.
Position Summary:
The manager will join AT&T’s regional media relations team, driving positive earned media results. This role involves leading proactive media relations efforts to support AT&T’s corporate brand and its business units on topics such as mobility products and services, 5G, internet, corporate citizenship, innovation, and sponsorships.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with top-tier local news outlets and manage daily engagements with reporters as the go-to expert for your geographical territory.Regularly earn positive media coverage through close relationships and possess expert-level knowledge of the media industry.Maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends, company priorities, issues, and news to contribute effectively to communications planning and execution.Work independently while sharing best practices as part of a larger team spread across the country.Qualification Requirements:
Experience serving as a company spokesperson or related experience as a local news reporter/producer is strongly preferred.Existing working relationships with Dallas area local media preferred.Bachelor’s degree preferred.7-10 years of public relations/communications or journalism experience.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Ability to mine for creative story angles that lead to positive coverage about company initiatives.Available outside regular working hours when needed.This position is based in Dallas.Compensation:
Our Lead Manager Communications & PR earn between $105,600 - $158,400 USD annually in Dallas, TX. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
