Lead Manufacturing Project & Process Engineer
Job Description SummaryProcess Engineering position associated with the manufacturing processes of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) parts for aircraft engines in a production environment. Will lead & focus on improvement projects and shop floor support for a product line in an assigned area. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role will have autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Self-directed judgment and drive will be required.

Job DescriptionJob ResponsibilitiesPerform all related tasks for Tollgate, MRL & PRR NPI development.Plan, support and execute APQP requirementsCreate, propose & control project cost (budgets)Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment during trials, etcImprove all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery & CostLead improvement projects from concept to completion & assure sustainmentCollaborate with design engineering, operations, and quality to improve manufacturability and resolve issuesDrive & lead/cycle time improvementsLead & support Low Rate and Full Rate ProductionDesign & implement necessary equipment, tooling & fixtures for manufacturing development and process improvementsCreate, maintain & adhere to schedules to achieve business metrics/targetsApply in-depth knowledge of a technical disciplineParticipate & Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action activity related to concerns that arise during the manufacturing processListen to the voice on the floor, understand the problem and implement effective countermeasures & assure sustainabilityDFM proposals to Design Engineering with supporting data, proposing solutions and see implementedManage projects related to manufacturing process enhancementHands on problem solving & investigationContinuous improvement mind setWork closely with shop floor personnelTime allocation: manufacturing floor (50%), office (50%)Limited remote working conditionsLimited travel (equipment run off, supplier visits)

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s Degree accredited  college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience) Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining with production processes and equipment experience
