Job Description SummaryThe Lead Process Engineer performs engineering associated duties within the manufacturing process. In this role, you will make a lasting impact on the operations of the plant by enabling manufacturing uptime, cost reduction, and increased product quality. Your contributions will range from direct manufacturing support to new production introduction and new process development.
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Manufacturing process ownership within an assigned production area(s)Provide technical direction and lead a team of process engineers to design, develop implement, control, maintain, and optimize manufacturing methods and technical documentationDrive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including productivity, quality and Six Sigma initiativesAnalyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiencyConfer with product design engineers concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methodsProvide tooling and equipment support for production area(s)Confer with manufacturing associates, management, engineering, and other support staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processesTake responsibility for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes including safety, quality, Lean and six-sigma development in assigned areasUtilize lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput and qualityApplies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potentialDisplay a dedicated, team-oriented work ethic with personal ownership while having a goal-focused mindsetHave flexibility in hours/shift of work; ability to flex schedule for training and/or shop coverage needs
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience)Minimum of 3 years of process or similar manufacturing-related engineering experience
