Lead Material Handler
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a **Lead Material Handle** r to join their team. As a Lead Material Handler, you will be part of the Shipping and Receiving department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Lead Material Handler **Location:** Plymouth, MI **Pay Range:** $20.00 per hour **What's the Job?** + Communicate with the Team Lead to ensure all orders are ready for processing and delivery on time. + Perform various functions related to the shipping, receiving, and storage of parts, materials, and products. + Ensure that GB’s (Global Business) materials are processed according to required drop-off schedules. + Prepare and send all necessary shipping documents to the appropriate GB’s. + Identify and report discrepancies in shipping documents to the appropriate personnel for immediate action. + Report damaged materials and discrepancies for incoming shipments to the relevant GB’s. + Ensure customer shipments are loaded efficiently and within designated time windows. + Participate in special tasks, such as 6S activities, to support continuous improvement and workplace organization. + Maintain responsibility for one’s own work with attention to accuracy and efficiency. + Exhibit a constant safety mindset, following all safety protocols to prevent injury to oneself and others. **What's Needed?** + High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in material handling is a plus. + Experience in material handling, shipping, and receiving operations within a manufacturing or tech environment. + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and damage in materials. + Excellent communication skills to coordinate with different departments and ensure smooth processes. + Familiarity with shipping documents and procedures. + Ability to lift and move materials as needed. + Knowledge of safety regulations and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment. **What's in it for me?** + Full-time position with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. + Monday through Friday schedule with a start time of 7:30 AM and end time of 4:00 PM. + Weekly pay. + Opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and participate in continuous improvement activities. + Potential for additional technical training or certifications in material handling.
