Job Title:                                Lead Meat Cutter

FLSA Status:                          Hourly/Full-time

REPORTS TO:                         Meat Department Manager

 

Maintains stock levels in the meat department by replenishing products as needed. Execute the boomerang theory by providing exceptional service to all guests.

 

 

Whether our guests are meal prepping, tailgating in a snowy December, hosting their summer BBQ, or prepping their Holiday ham, our Meat & Seafood Associates are their resource and expert providing exceptional service coupled with tips & tricks to ensure no matter the cut of meat, our guests feel confident to season & cook it perfectly.

 

 

Meat Cutters provide premier guest services through the cutting and preparing of specialty cuts of meat, sharing recipes and offering recommendations for Festival Foods guests.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reinforces Festival culture, customer service, and performance expectations to all production associates.Trains new production associatesCommunicates scheduling needs for production team Writes and oversees cutting lists to maintain company standardsAnswers questions and provides guidance to all meat department associatesEnsures all department standards are being met on the meat department sales floorObserves sales floor conditions and takes action to correct areas of opportunityCommunicates and works cooperatively with department manager and other meat associates to maintain standards and exceed guest expectationsProvides customer service to guests.Assists guests with finding items they are looking forTakes orders and other special requestsPackages and prices items from the service caseAnswers the telephone and assists callers using proper phone etiquette.Assists production associates with packaging, labeling, filling, rotating, and removing product while leading by example.Maintains adequate level of supplies by replenishing packaging and other items as needed.Contributes to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed.Required to maintain food safety logs.Ensure all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

WORK SCHEDULE

The Lead Meat Cutter is a full-time hourly position. The work schedule will generally include mornings, afternoons, and weekends, with the flexibility to work evenings and holidays as needed.
