We are seeking a Lead Mechanic to join our team in Fond du Lac, WI. In this role you will assist with maintenance and repairs to equipment and vehicles; asset tracking; replacing worn and defective parts, re-assembling mechanical components, changing oil, spark plugs, batteries, filters, etc.

The Role

Responsible for all maintenance and repairs to equipment and vehicles; replacing worn and defective parts, re-assembling mechanical components, changing oil, spark plugs, batteries, filters, etc. with the help of an assistant mechanicAssists field personnel by delivering, replacing and repairing defective equipmentRepairs and paints trailers and equipment as neededResponsible for tracking and assigning equipment and vehicles to field personnelAssists with picking up and delivering material to several office locations throughout Wisconsin Requirements 3+ years of mechanic work experience (must have been employed as a mechanic)1-2 years of leadership experience preferredExcellent knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairAbility to track and maintain a fleet of 300 pieces of equipmentAbility to delegate workload for assistant mechanicBasic computer skills Willingness to work in a wide variety of conditions including indoors, outdoors, ladders/heights, small spaces, assorted weather conditions, etc.Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL or willingness to obtain preferredPassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
