Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you'll develope and apply advanced mechanical engineering design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan, conduct and technically direct projects or the major phases of significant projects.Coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff.Conduct investigations or tests of considerable complexity pertaining to the development of new designs, methods and materials.Review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.Recommend corrections in technical analysis and design.Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.The person in this position may also provide technical consultation to other organizations and work leadership for lower level employees. QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 8 years related experience.Expert use of analytical and CAD software.Requires expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong Refrigeration/HVAC background.Experience with Commercial equipment design.Successful track record in handling and executing of Product launches.Experience with Lab testing/qualification of products and components.Can create test plans and work closely with lab personnel for Performance/reliability and safety agency (UL, NSF) related testing.Strong background in working with Manufacturing and Operations.Exposure to Regulations around Refrigeration/HVAC and agency requirements.Experience with using SAP or similar business system tool.Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks including schedule and goal management.Ability to lead engineering tasks for multi-stage product development projects.Ability to work with component suppliers and cross functional teams.Self-driven/highly motivated.Can-do attitude.Must be a team player.
