We’re looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in power generation systems to join our APAC Project Engineering team. In this leadership role, you will drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and lead complex projects to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of diesel and gas generators while advancing our sustainability initiatives.

What you’ll do:
Lead the mechanical engineering function within the APAC Project Engineering team while developing and overseeing project designs to meet quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to develop optimal engineering solutions for clients.Drive innovation in power generation, temperature control (HVAC, chiller, and boiler), and fuel management, ensuring compliance with industry codes, environmental standards, and sustainability goals.Lead technical reviews and risk assessments for critical power and fuel system projects.Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and customers.Support QHSE initiatives, including procedure documentation, incident investigation, and continuous improvement efforts as well as oversee technical proposals and bid preparation, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years of experience in power generation, particularly with diesel and gas generators, with proven ability to lead engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance.Expertise in Refrigeration, Psychrometrics & Fluid Mechanics, as well as strong Understanding of Pressure Vessels, Piping & Gas System Design Standards.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Design Software for system layouts and technical drawings.Advanced Equipment Sizing & System Integration for engines, generators, and ancillary components.Advanced Fuel System Design (storage, delivery, filtration, and efficiency optimization).Expertise in Emission Control & Sustainability, including combustion optimization and exhaust gas treatment.Experience with CHP (Combined Heat & Power) and hybrid power solutions.
