Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist

Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist  - St Mary Medical Center-Walla Walla, WA

Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and the Laboratory Department Director, the Medical Technologist Lead aids in the establishment of laboratory goals and objectives, supervises all aspects of the laboratory in regard to guest relations, human resource management, and quality assurance.  Performs laboratory procedures as instructed by attending physician(s), and ensures that departmental maintenance, quality control, and inventory requirements are met.  Monitors and adjusts work and testing schedule to meet that requirement.

Shift Details: Full time, Variable shift, 8 Hour Daily Overtime 80 Hour Week

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts or National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Laboratory Tech - United States Government 5 years Clinical Laboratory Testing experience 1 year experience in a high complexity lab Expertise in a sub specialty are of leadership (e.g. microbiology, point-of-care, etc...)
