Jordan Health is now seeking aLead Medical Records Correspondence Technicianwho, under the guidance of the Director of Health Information Management/Privacy Officer, is primarily responsible for coordinating activities of personnel engaged in the Medical Records Department at the Jordan Center, including, but not limited to, release of information, faxes, and patient customer service. Works with departments to enhance provider support through accurate and timely scanning, indexing, and form completion. Requirements TheLead Medical Records Correspondence Technicianwill ensure to: · Serve as the Lead for the Jordan Center MR team by assisting with complicated issues such as ROI subpoenas, guardianship, and consents. · Coordinate daily with staff, in all areas of the MR department including, but not limited to, delegating scanning, faxes, mail, form completion, phones, and customer service as applicable and reports to the DHIM with discrepancies and/or inconsistencies. · Assist the DHIM with various statistical reports, such as audits, surveys, and quality assurance projects relating to MR processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. · Complete and respond to all request for medical records, medical related information, and legal matters via telephone, fax, in-person request, etc. According to medical record policies and procedures and under the supervision of the DHIM. · Assist providers in the completion of patient forms and preparation of forms, letters, and home care orders, etc. for provider signature. Education And Experience Required: · Minimum High School Diploma. · AAS degree preferred. · Minimum one to two years’ of experience in release of information/correspondence required. Licenses And Certifications Required: · RHIT Certified Preferred. Special Skills, Knowledge Required: · Proficient computer skills. · Experience working in electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred. · Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. · Ability to read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations. · Knowledge of regulatory and certification standards related to release of information and medical records protocol.
