Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Metrologist to provide comprehensive services and support specifically related to maintenance scheduling, calibration, preventative maintenance, and repair of onsite laboratory and manufacturing equipment. As a Sr Metrologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our equipment.
ResponsibilitiesOversee equipment maintenance scheduling, tracking, completion of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop and write procedures for equipment and instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.Implement and monitor consumable inventory, sending purchasing requests as required.Adhere to all safety and procedural SOPs and training requirements.Cross-train and supervise other staff to assist as Technicians.Maintain and report metrics including right first time, errors, number of equipment serviced, and timelines.Perform additional Metrology tasks related to Metrology Functional Support.Essential SkillsExperience with calibration and maintenance of Agilent HPLC equipment - hands-on maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as HPLCs, GCs, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, balances, fume hoods, and pressure gauges.Technical writing experience with SOPs.Knowledge of temperature monitoring equipment, data loggers, and temperature mapping of cleanrooms.Strong understanding of GMP, quality control, validation, sterile manufacturing, change controls, and protocol review.Experience in analytical chemistry, including HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR, UV, and TLC.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Life Science (Candidates without a degree may be considered with exceptional experience).5+ years of analytical chemistry experience.3+ years in a leadership role managing analytical instrumentation projects.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with radioactive radio pharma, is a plus.Work Environment
You will be working in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, utilizing various types of equipment including HPLCs, GCs, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, balances, fume hoods, and pressure gauges. The role requires adherence to safety and procedural SOPs, with responsibilities including temperature mapping of cleanrooms. The position involves cross-training and supervising other staff, maintaining consumable inventory, and ensuring compliance with GMP standard
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
