As an R&D team, making sure your ideas are heard and encouraged is what we strive to do!What You'll Do:CRITEO is looking for a Lead ML Engineer to join our AI Lab department (a.k.a CAIL) and to manage our Core Embeddings team!
The Core Embeddings team at Criteo is aiming to accelerate client teams delivery cycles by building off-the-shelf reusable embeddings and models. More precisely, the team is dedicated to training and benchmarking foundation models leveraging commerce data and making available an accessible pipeline, pre-trained models, and powerful reusable context and content embeddings that are adapted to multiple Criteo use cases, and directly usable at scale.
Your main missions :
Define the team's roadmap, prioritize projects, and select real use cases to guide the development of commerce foundation models, leveraging latest advances in machine learning.
Act as a driving force within the team fostering a collaborative environment to deliver the roadmap.
Navigate the need for compromises, justify decisions, and balance multiple ML approaches to select the most promising ones.
Maintain continuous communication with the partner and client teams to ensure alignment and integration of reusable embeddings and models.
Understand and address scalability challenges related to machine learning embeddings, leveraging your deep ML knowledge.
Who You Are:Strong understanding of machine learning principles, preferably with an experience in training and deploying ML models.
Solid experience in Object Oriented Programming and architecture (Spark, Scala, C#, Java, or C++) as well as distributed computing (Hadoop).
Ability to make informed decisions on project priorities and directions, balancing various stakeholder inputs and leveraging real uses cases to guide them.
Proven ability to foster strong relationships and drive collaboration within and across teams.
Experience in leading and mentoring a technical team
A can do attitude and the ability to work on problems by thinking positively and in a collaborative manner while maintaining focus and effectiveness.
