UPMC Mercy is seeking a full-time Lead MRI Technologist to join their team in Downtown Pittsburgh!

We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment or a $30,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year commitment to eligible hires!

This position’s hours will consist of four 10-hour shifts that will vary from daylight, evening, and nights. The Lead MRI Technologist will require weekend and holiday availability, but will not have on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Performs all job responsibilities of Level II MRI Advanced Technologist including practices and maintains MR safety in the department, addresses patient safety through proper patient identification, labeling/preparation/and administration of contrast and communicating according to standard operating procedures, completes procedures according to protocol while presenting relevant information to physician, and updates and documents patient information into rad assessment. Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of Advanced Level II MRI Tech and communicates results back to departmental leadership. Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs. Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
