GDIT shall provide PdM GENM-O a unified approach to optimize IT modernization and enhance the U.S. Army’s infrastructure. GDIT shall deliver a turnkey IT infrastructure modernization solution at each requested location. PdM GENM-O requires innovative IT GDIT offers opportunities supporting Department of Defense (DoD) with communication systems modernization projects. Our talented team of Network and Cybersecurity professionals help design, develop, procure, implement, operate/sustain, and enhance DoD networks and cybersecurity posture. **HOW A LEAD NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:** As the program subject matter expert for CSfC, MILS, and VDI, your focus will be leading engineering efforts such as survey, design, and implementation of solutions in support of a large Army global SIPRNET modernization program. + Manage the survey, design, and implementation of systems in support of Army infrastructure modernizations to include networks, VoIP, ISP, Wireless, CSfC, VDI, and cross domain solutions. + Manage and configure networking components such as Cisco Firepower Firewalls, Aruba Mobility Controller VPN Gateways, and management systems. + Ability to engineer and deploy and enterprise Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure. + Interpret, implement, and assess DISA STIGs + Lead the development of designs and participate in design reviews with the customer. + Facilitate technical exchange meetings with the costumer and provide recommendations on possible solutions. + Conduct research to identify new technologies that could improve solutions. + Managing and coordinating the implementation of new systems + Mentor junior engineers and technicians **WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:** + Expert level knowledge in multiple disciplines with the ability to develop solutions in accordance with Army standards. + Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field IT, engineering, or technical field. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience allowed in lieu of degree. + 8 years’ experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope + Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening practices for major operating system platforms (Windows, Linux, Cisco IOS, etc.) + Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s (DCSA) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) + At least one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), Approved vendor equivalent. + Must meet DoD Approved 8570 certification requirements for IAT-III + DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or an industry-recognized leader in DevOps + Ability to travel and deploy to hazardous environments over 50% + Secret clearance and valid US passport + Ability to pass medical screening and CRC training + Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills + Good oral and written communications skills + Experience in using drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: ● 401K with company match ● Comprehensive health and wellness packages ● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career ● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications ● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from ● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.To encourage work/life balance, GDIT offers employees full flex work weeks where possible and a variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave.
