We are looking for a dedicated Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** Performs those duties directly involved with the completion of all requested procedures of the NM Department with regards to Quality and Quantity, providing services to all inpatients and outpatients of all age groups. Supervises employee’s duties and their work process daily. Assesses staffing each day. Organizes staff work assignments, including lunch and break rotations. The Lead Technologist is responsible for training new technologists in all imaging aspects under their direction including specialized cases. Recommends, coordinates and evaluates new or modified procedures/protocols. Instructs other technologists on specialized tasks and new/modified procedures and policies and ensures their compliance and understanding. Participates in the evaluation of new employees and has input on the evaluation of current employees. Ensures policies are communicated to all staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and ability to follow the policies independently. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment functioning for departmental operations. Distributes, records and manages radiation badges. Performs and manages all Quality Care of equipment. Performs routine Nuclear Medicine procedures and produces quality images while applying radiation safety. Verifies physician orders, screens patients for appropriateness of study, educates patients, selects appropriate protocols, and demonstrates ability to problem solve image quality. Provides patient care for a population base of all ages including pediatric through geriatric. Assures the equipment is functioning properly. Prepares radiopharmaceuticals. Coordinates technical work and patient flow. Provides computer-enhanced post-processing of procedure. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and a professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff. May be required to work at Ocala Hospital or West Marion Hospital. **What qualifications you will need:** + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) + Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree + State of Florida License Nuclear Medicine, or State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist Our hospital has been proudly serving the West Marion County community since 2002, providing top-notch healthcare services to meet the growing needs of our patients.
