Working Schedule: Work hours per day: 10 hrs./day Work Days per Week: 6 days/week Work day per Month: 26 days/month Work Location/Assignment Type: Qatar
Job Purpose:
Provide specialist knowledge and guidance in developing, supporting and executing complex and high value EPC contract for the Project.
Key Responsibilities - (Duties include but not limited to):
Tendering & Contracting Strategy: Formulate comprehensive tendering and contracting activities by reviewing engineering, technical, and commercial documents to identify and mitigate project risks. Bid Evaluation & Contract Formation: Assess complex technical bids and establish robust contracts that facilitate efficient project execution. Standards & Compliance: Embed the latest financial, technical, and SHEQ standards into contract documentation. Review and validate scope of work and commercial documents to ensure full compliance with regulatory, company, and local standards. Contract Audits & Administration: Participate in contract audits, ensuring documentation accuracy and addressing audit findings promptly. Steward EPC Contractor activities, ensuring all parties are well-versed in contract terms, provisions, and coordination procedures. Address warranty, payment, and milestone issues as needed. Contract Close-Out & Claims Management: Facilitate the smooth close-out of contracts by verifying that all obligations are fulfilled, invoices are paid, and deliverables are approved. Ensure timely resolution of claim-oriented correspondence to prevent potential disputes. Critical Analysis: Interpret and analyze complex tender and contract documents to provide clear, comprehensive responses and commercially sound recommendations. High-Pressure Environment: Operate efficiently under tight deadlines, ensuring that all contract administration activities meet project deliverables and timelines. Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science, Management, or a relevant discipline. Experience: At least 10 years in a contracts management environment within major projects—preferably in the oil and gas industry—with exposure to contract law, negotiations, contractor management, insurance, and legal practices. Experience with offshore and brownfield projects is highly desirable. Technical & Business Skills Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Strong analytical, reasoning, and technical skills for contract review and preparation. Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and other relevant business software. Solid organizational and time management skills. Behavioural Competencies High standards of ethics and integrity. Strong planning, initiative, and commitment to achieving quality results. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on clear, effective communication. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all activities are in line with Company Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies, as well as regulatory and legal requirements. Financial & Operational Accountability: Manage responsibilities as defined by the Delegation of Authority and approved budgets. Organizational Culture: Thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic project environment with significant capital expenditures and schedule pressures, while contributing to the overall development and success of the team.
