Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of 11 years or 132 monthsof work experience specific to the job description.
If a candidate has a Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but onlynine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job. The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.
Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.
If no degree, work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Position Description:
Oracle/DB2 Database Lead
The Oracle/DB2 Database Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership for application DBA support on Sun Solaris Unix(Oracle), ZOS (DB2) for the full life-cycle database development on the DCPS program. This candidate will:
Lead a team of DBAs (DB2/Oracle) and modelers creating and maintaining databases in development and validation environments
Work with OLTP, data warehouses and operational data stores, and utilizing ERwin data modeling tools for logical and physical data models.
Analyze database changes requested by the application development team for impacts to interfacing systems/naming standards/design standards/data conversions.
Create SQL scripts for conversion/reports/data analysis/data corrections.
Skills Requirements:
At least eight years of Application DBA experience on Oracle (Version 11g).
Experience with other Databases (DB2/zos).
Experience with OLTP, data warehousing and operational data stores and concepts.
Experience with Relation and Dimensional Modeling.
Experience with ERwin data modeling tools.
Experience with Data Analysis.
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
Experience with creating unix kornshell and SQL scripts.
Experience with data conversion strategies on various databases (Oracle, DB2).
Experience with database partitioning strategies on various databases (Oracle, DB2).
Experience with performance and tuning of applications on various databases (Oracle, DB2).
Experience with Oracle Administration Tools.
