Subject matter expert on instructing patients with collections of various specimen types. Performs all processes and procedures according to protocol. Responsible for accurate patient identification, specimen integrity and sample labeling. Interacts with customers in a pleasant, efficient and cooperative manner. Performs work in a fast-paced environment. Works cooperatively with peers, gives and receives constructive feedback. Responsible for training, educating and mentoring new and existing staff, troubleshooting and resolving problems. Manages and coordinates training for new hires and students. Must maintain a professional image at all times. Participates on special projects as assigned by the management team and serves as a resource to others. May be required to attend the Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program. Monitors daily workflow and assigns tasks. Participates in SOP review and creation process. Monitors and maintains supply inventory system. **Qualifications** High school diploma or equivalent and a Graduate of a phlebotomy training program with 12 months of phlebotomy experience. Phlebotomy training experience is required. Job instruction training is preferred. Ability to solve operational issues with minimal assistance.
