How do you excel in this position
The Lead Painter Technician is a critical role in supporting our growing compression skid system business. This will be a hands-on, working lead role, requiring the individual to perform all painting tasks. As the department grows, this position will evolve to supervise and mentor a team of painters across multiple shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial painting techniques, surface preparation, quality control, and safety protocols. They will also possess the leadership skills to build and manage a successful painting team.
What are we looking for
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in painting or related fields are a plus.
+ Five (5) years of experience as an industrial painter required.
+ Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Extensive knowledge of various industrial painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and coating materials.
+ Experience with operating and maintaining blast equipment.
+ Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
+ Knowledge of ISO 12944, NACE/SSPC standards.
