Lead Pastoral Care Profrofessional
Overview **Start date in this position will not be until 1/1/2025** Expected pay for this position is $29.01 - $34.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: In addition to the job duties as a Pastoral Care Professional, a Lead Pastoral Care Professional, working in close partnership with their Manager of Pastoral Care while a part of a larger department or largely on their own at a local operating unit…will ensure all Pastoral Care activities are performed and serve as resource person for Mission Partners in resolving Pastoral Care operational and patient care concerns. The Lead Pastoral Care Professional coordinates, presents and evaluates formation and education activities regarding Pastoral Care and Pastoral Care Mission Partners where applicable, while serving as an integral part of the overall Pastoral Care team that embraces a model of care for the whole person – body, mind and spirit. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master's degree from an accredited college, university, seminary or divinity school in theology, divinity, religious studies, pastoral ministry, pastoral studies, or spirituality. Completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Experience: Three years of pastoral experience in an acute care hospital setting. Must meet requirements of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria regarding the appointment of Catholic members to the pastoral care staff of a Catholic healthcare institution. Must be of Catholic faith and in good standing. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Ability to articulate the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. Ability and desire to work with patients/family, clergy and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds. Flexibility in work hours, programs, and services. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of at least 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Licensure/ Certification: Certification by the appropriate clinical pastoral agency: National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
