Job Title: Bilingual Lead Payroll Specialist

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Hours - M-F, 8-5 or 7-4 (flexible)
Key Responsibilities: Handle full-cycle payroll processing for weekly payrolls. Accurately input all necessary payroll-related data for processing. Address internal and external payroll inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses while maintaining confidentiality. Ensure all payroll functions are processed accurately and on time, with appropriate backup documentation, accuracy, and necessary approvals. Process terminations correctly and within the required time frame for each jurisdiction, including obtaining proper approvals for any payments. Ensure accurate calculation of overtime. Maintain and update vacation accrual and liability reports. Conduct audits of payroll data each pay period, ensuring file totals match payroll totals, and provide monthly payroll reports as needed. Support internal and external audits by ensuring payroll records are accurate, organized, and properly maintained. Manage year-end tax reporting and reconciliation, including W-2 forms. Stay informed of updates to federal or jurisdictional payroll laws and regulations. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent; associate's degree preferred 1-3 years payroll processing experience Must have experience with Viewpoint and Excel Bilingual in Spanish required Strong team player with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with all departments Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: Targeting $40-50/hr - depending on experience
