Position Summary

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Weekend Night Shift Lead Person at our underground mine and surface operations in Fort Calhoun, NE. This position is responsible for communicating standards of excellence, in the daily work assignments of the assigned team, to meet safety and production goals, as outlined by management.
Essential Functions
Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture Establish and maintain effective communication within all areas of operation Conduct regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of the mine Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately Work in a team environment Operate heavy mobile equipment Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of team members Train workers in operation of equipment and safety proceduresPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision Knowledge of MSHA regulations Effective verbal communication Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and tools including their design, use, and maintenancePhysical Abilities
