Schedules, assigns and participates in routine and preventive maintenance as required within the scope of the Plumbing Shop. Maintains a daily log of all work performed by the Plumbing shop. Orders supplies and maintains inventory of parts, materials and tools. Complies with all applicable regulatory codes and inspections. Performs work on pumps, sprinklers, fountains and plumbing systems. Responds to routine maintenance calls as required and ensures safe employee practices. Develops water conservation programs where possible to conserve natural sources. Installs, connects and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulic refrigeration and various gas, steam and other pressure systems. Works with blueprints, sketches, service requests, state, municipal ordinances and underwrites ordinances and specifications. Troubleshoots and performs maintenance and repair functions on major system breakdowns. Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer. Completes special assignments for management as requested.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Must be a journeyman Plumber. Three years’ experience as a licensed Master Plumber. Must have a NJ Master Plumber’s license. Ability to obtain plumbing permits. Prior hotel plumbing maintenance experience preferred. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
