The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who is passionate about creating outstanding user experiences and has a proven history of successfully bringing delightful experiences from concept to launch. As a senior member of our design team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and enhance our product offerings, ensuring they deliver best-in-class experiences for our underwriting organization.

 

Serving in lead capacity on large, complex projects, collaborates with business executives on the definition of business vision, objectives, transformation plans, and opportunities for competitive advantage. Creates user-centered design solutions that feature ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction design, and optimize the user experience.


Responsibilities:

 

Serving in lead capacity on large, complex projects, creates user experience and visual design solutions for projects based on business objectives and user researchProactively identifies the need for and initiates new, complex multi-step user flows using various design tools (e.g. experience and service design maps, journey maps, concepts, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes)Serves as subject matter expert in the defined UX and brand standards and the execution of visual, interaction and motion designAnalyzes impact of proposed changes and recommends new standards as needed and contributes to pattern library with markupLeads the objective-setting and discovery process with support from team leadership, including user persona development and interpreting user goalsCollaborates with the Research Team to design and execute a variety of user research activitiesSynthesizes and broadly communicates results of user research, concept testing, usability testing and quantitative analysis to make complex design recommendationsActs as an advocate for the end user within a cross-functional teamWorks collaboratively by sharing designs early and often, seeking constructive feedback and integrating feedback to improve solutionsOffers guidance and provides constructive feedback to other team membersHelps team members develop, strengthen and align their ideas with business and customer goals Qualifications As typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of experience in a related field:Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean StartupFamiliarity with the following core disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in at least two and proficiency in two others: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment designExceptional written and oral communication skillsComfortable interacting with all levels of the companyProven ability to present projects and status reports to senior managementStrong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate complex content into user scenarios, flows and diagramsProven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams About Us
