What is the opportunity?
To define and manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for asset class leadership.What will you do?
Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing understanding of each assigned investment productOwn the complete investment product lifecycle (beginning with the decision to launch by the product approval committee, continuing through various lifecycle stages such incubation, maturity and termination.)Determine vehicle and pricing requirements for successful distribution into GAM’s distribution channelsIs responsible for ensuring covered investment products remain competitive, and meets long-term strategic, operational and financial objectives while always emphasizing the overall client experience.Produces competitive analysis packages for each covered product, and partners with key stakeholders to develop and execute product-level business development plans.Coordinates product related training and education and develops insightful analyticsProvides support to sales and marketing on covered investment productsCollaborates with the Marketing and Institutional Portfolio Management (IPM) teams to create content that will help position covered investment products for successActs as the asset class leader within the product business unit.Sustain a collaborative relationship with several key stakeholders including investment teams, IPMs, marketing, distribution, legal, compliance, finance, the fund operations team, and trading functions on matters relating to the covered products.Will be involved in product-related initiatives including market alignment, and product line rationalization as they pertain to each specific distribution channel (Institutional, RIA, Sub-advisory, etc.).Understands key trends in the market, as well as competitive and regulatory trends, to ensure GAM is delivering an attractive suite of products and services; recommending changes to the covered products, as appropriate.Participate in cross-functional forums and product governance groups to review product ideas, assess viability of changes, and ensure organizational alignment around direction.Create viable go-to-market strategies for newly approved (soon to be launched) productsMay work with team leader to select, develop and maintain an effective team. This includes: managing and/or mentoring other team membersWhat do you need to succeed?

8+ years of relevant experienceBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related fieldUnderstanding of the institutional and Intermediary market place and the buyer preferences for professional buyers.Strong time management and organizational skillsExperience using analytical tools such as Morningstar Direct, eVestment and Preqin.a plus.Creative and innovative problem-solver.Microsoft Office proficientAbility to work independently and with a strong attention to detailNice-to-have

This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
The good-faith expected salary range for the above position in IL is $94-165K depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
