Lead Product Services & Management Analyst (Hybrid Onsite/Remote)
**Req Number** 150465 Job Description Leads and oversees implementation and supporting application system. Researches, studies, and analyzes system-related issues and provides appropriate resolution. Ensures the integrity, maintenance, and operations and its impact on data integrity for organization. Job Responsibility + Driving operational efficiencies, risk mitigation and strengthening compliance through IT solutions within the molecular departments + Provide ongoing support for the Helix and LabSeq applications + Execute application changes in adherence to Northwell LIS change control processes, ensuring system stability and compliance + Lead the implementation of the new LabSeq platform, replacing the Helix application which is end of life in 2025 + Manage the coordination, planning and integration of LabSeq with the Cerner Anatomic Pathology solution + Provide Tier 2 weekday support and scheduled weekly on-call duties (nights, weekends, holidays) + This position will support and optimize the Helix and LabSeq applications in Cerner. This application is used by the following lab departments: Cytogenetics, Flow Cytometry, Prenatal Testing, Molecular Genetics + Creates, optimizes, and maintains complex SQL as part of stored procedures, views, functions, and queries. + Manages, designs and develops highly configurable, fault tolerant systems. + Reviews database objects for data integrity, quality, security, recoverability, scalability, maintenance, and capacity and recommends changes as necessary. + Oversees database design documentation at architectural and functional level. + Recommends new strategies and architecture to enhance efficiency of data systems. + Plans, manages and tracks database and system changes. + Maintains policies and procedures related to security and protecting privacy of client and company information. + Responds to requests for changes from original specifications. + Employees use knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Job Qualification + Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. + 5-7 years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required. HIGHLY PREFERRED + **Bachelor's Degree:** A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Medical Technology, Clinical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related healthcare discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. + **Cerner Certification:** Certifications in relevant Cerner Millennium modules (e.g., PathNet, Lab, Millennium Administration). + **Project Management Skills:** Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus. + **Change Management Experience:** Experience with change management methodologies and processes within a healthcare setting. + **Cerner Millennium PathNet Expertise:** Extensive experience in application design, configuration, validation, and support of Cerner Millennium PathNet Laboratory Information System. This includes understanding of laboratory workflows, test catalogs, result management, and instrument interfaces. + **Leadership Experience:** Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of application analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Experience in project leadership, including planning, execution, and delivery. + **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:** Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop effective solutions. This includes root cause analysis and proactive problem prevention. + **Communication Skills:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes clear and concise documentation skills. + **HL7 Interface Experience:** Working knowledge of HL7 messaging standards, including message structures, segments, and common laboratory-related message types (e.g., ORM, ORU, ADT). Experience with troubleshooting HL7 interface issues. + **Oracle Health System Experience:** Experience supporting and troubleshooting applications within an Oracle Health environment, understanding the integration points and dependencies between different systems. + **Molecular Diagnostics & Genomics Experience:** Application knowledge and experience supporting molecular diagnostic and genomic medicine workflows, including familiarity with Helix Millennium and related applications. ***Additional Salary Detail** The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
