Job PurposeReporting to the Director, Emergency Planning Cyber & Services, and working in collaboration across all business units in New England and New York, this role will collaborate in the project management and analytical support to ensure cyber emergency response readiness. This is not a computer programming or designated IT position, however strong cyber knowledge is required.
Key Accountabilities Conduct annual review of Cyber Security/Information Technology Emergency Response Plan including collaborative stakeholder review and process improvements resulting from After Action Reviews. Work collaboratively with Emergency Planning Training & Exercises team to develop and support exercise and training activities to ensure employee readiness to respond with actual emergency events. Identify opportunities for improvement during real-world events, trainings and exercises and develop or modify processes and procedures for remediation. Work collaboratively with Electric and Gas commodity teams in New England and New York to proactively identify potential areas of vulnerability and develop processes and procedures to remediate. In collaboration with Information Systems teams, assess policy needs, identify potential vulnerabilities and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern cyber activities. Develop and implement data analytics and performance reporting to ensure that internal business needs are met. Assist in the development and delivery of cyber security awareness training. Liaise with colleagues and management around cyber security issues and strategy. Promote awareness of cyber policy and strategy as appropriate. Work across all business units to bring awareness to Cyber Emergency Preparedness and Response. Support the Emergency Planning program that bolsters internal and external stakeholder management. Support Emergency Planning activities of actual events at emergency operations centers or local on-scene locations. This is a hybrid role based in MA or NY with occasional travel throughout Massachusetts and New York.Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required Ability to network internally and externally to develop successful, long-lasting, supportive relationships/partnerships with others. Coordinate with various departments to ensure that business units have adequate emergency preparedness. Liaise across the business to ensure that strategic response and safety management is embedded within routine business activities, ensuring clear escalation of issues, when necessary.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or work experience equivalent 5+ years of job-related experience. Knowledgeable about cybersecurity threats and best practices and proactively maintain awareness of security industry. Knowledgeable about computers, including networks, operating systems, applications and web apps. Understands the theory behind emergency management policies and processes and demonstrates the ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working. Ability to leverage best practices and lessons learned of external organizations dealing with cyber issues. Knowledge of Incident Command System preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs required. Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed, and in response to emergencies. Valid US driver’s license required with acceptable driving record that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver Policy

Upstate, NY: $116,000 - $136,000
Downstate, NY: $139,000 - $164,000
