**About this Role**
The role is positioned in the Diageo Global Engineering team providing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Project Management services to Diageo's Europe Beer’s primary Brewing site; St James’ Gate (SJG). The overall purpose of the team is to deliver the investment plan (Annual Operating Plan – AOP) for asset investments on a year-on-year basis. Total annual investment in Europe Beer is c. $200m, with c. $50m of Supply Investment spent at SJG, including the Beer Pilot Plant and Roe & Co Distillery. In addition, the team support the Corporate, Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) and Experiential teams at SJG to deliver their investment plans across the wider Guinness facilities. This is an exciting time in Beer, with significant growth in the total category, as well as the extraordinary success of Guinness 0.0 brand.
In this role, you will work alongside the Operations & Asset Care teams to deliver the Beer Category goals. Working with other members of the Diageo Global Engineering team, this role must ensure delivery of the overall business and strategic priorities. Peer and Senior Stakeholder management will be a key part of the delivery.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Leading a team of Capex Project Engineers assigned to various projects.
+ Managing Health & Safety of contractor works including leading a H&S Lead resource.
+ Developing and leading project progress and cash delivery reporting tools & forums.
+ Managing total cash spend for the project portfolio to an annual operating plan.
+ Leading the long-range Capital Project planning process for the site.
+ Using of specialist engineering knowledge to support delivery to accurate technical specification.
+ Ensuring project compliance with appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental standards, Diageo Code of Conduct, Legal & Regulatory Standards.
+ Co-ordinating and handling external resources.
+ Communication to stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful at this role, you’ll be able to adapt style & approach to different situations and manage cultural sensitivity. You will be flexible in approach but passionate about delivering the right outcomes.

+ Engineering knowledge and experience
+ Considerable project management experience
