A Lead Project Engineer is required to lead and manage cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of aircraft ECS (Environmental Control System) electronic products on both commercial and military aircraft platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing team efforts to achieve development schedule and performance goals within allocated cost and is required to provide technical authority for the assigned program(s). Assignments will range from management of large development projects, oversight of multiple development projects and product lines, or providing support to the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Engineering Support organization and Customer Support team.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\nOverall technical coordination of design and development activities within the engineering functions to ensure that all customer requirements are addressed\nEstablish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules\nManagement of the program plan including scope, schedule, cost, technical, resource, and risk management\nManage the product definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation & verification, and introduction to production\nProgram tracking and reporting using Project scheduling, reporting, and financial management tools as appropriate\nFocal point with all internal departments and customer interface\nThe leadership of customer design reviews, technical co-ordination meetings, and engineering reviews with support from appropriate functional groups as required\nProject engineering process improvement\nSupport proposal preparation for the growth of the ECS Controls Product group\nSupport change management including scope, schedule, cost, technical, resource, and risk assessment as well as program change requests\n\nThe Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. YOU MUST HAVE
\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Applied Science\nMinimum of 8 years engineering experience in an aerospace/defense/development environment and leading multidisciplinary teams\nMinimum of 5 years project engineering experience including project planning, change management, earned value reporting, and experience with computer-based scheduling and reporting tools\n\nWE VALUE
