 The T55 Project Engineering team has an opening for a Lead Project Engineer to lead a new engine development team. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, test and support of gas turbine engines for rotary-wing applications. 

\n

 Key Responsibilities:

\n\nLead the design, development and in-service support activity for a component, module or engine test through all aspects of the Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) process, on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements.\nBroad indirect span of control of approximately 10 full time equivalent engineers.\nCost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $4M.\nExpected to serve as the single point leader for the component, module or test assignments\n\nLead a diverse cross functional team to accomplish the scope\nEscalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization\nStrong commitment to customer satisfaction\nBias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work\nImplement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies\nPromote and build strong team working relationships\nManage within very difficult resource constraints\nIdentify gaps and risks on behalf of the team\nBalances workload of the team members\nMonitor work of team members to recognize when they are “stuck” or “off track”\n\n\nLeverages technical experts to review the technical work of the team\nLeads trade studies and RCCA activities\nCommunicate project status with internal and external customers\nGuide and develop early career engineers\n\n

 YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nMust be a US Citizen\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering\n8+ years’ engineering experience in design, development, and/or test of complex mechanical system. \n\n

 WE VALUE
