Band 4: Lead Project Engineer For HBS RT Program Manager
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for providing program execution leadership on a GBE Release Train portfolio and managing multidisciplinary (Software, Hardware, Firmware) product delivery lifecycle from inception to successful Business-Case realization.
The Program Manager would take a General Manager’s view to the program assuming accountability of program, collaborate across cross-functional teams leading value delivery through phases of our Z21 NPI process.
The Program Manager would be responsible for (but not restricted to) below aspects:
Lead a portfolio of programs for products (including related adjacencies) for a business. Lead a team of project / program managers working on the same product portfolio on related / contributing programs. Prioritize efforts for maximizing business impact within the release train and work with other release train leaders within / across GBE portfolio to identify & prioritize dependencies for the projects Collaboratively Manage Cross-Release Train Dependencies and Resolve Risks Collaborate with Offering Leadership to complete Business Case & Concept Development: Drives focus on voice of customer, appropriately defined offering-scope, and planned business case investments (for material / labor / travel / risks mitigation), influencing decisions in the early phases Oversee and drive Program Delivery Planning: Collaborate with Engineering & other cross-functional stakeholders to translate business case / MVO / concept definition (outlined as EPICs/Capabilities) into engineering deliverables and implementation plan (PI roadmap). Work with all stakeholders to refine estimates, plan mitigations for technical risks / dependencies, while balancing costs, resources, vendors, etc. to accomplished delivery planning. Lead Execution & Manage Delivery: Uses an agile leader approach, collaborate with x-functional stakeholders, and ensure first-time right execution (on products & solutions delivery). Lead execution proactively and leverage tools (and metrics) to improve transparency on quality / on-time launch predictability for stakeholders and leadership. Provide consultation support to coach / optimize / match people, technology, processes, and tools, for the team to improve efficiency of delivery. Support Launch & Go-live: Collaborate with Offering & Global / Regional Sales stakeholders to ensure Marketing Communications, Demand generation, launch planning are completed in alignment with business goals. Ensure mechanisms for Revenue generation & tracking are ready for the Launch. Drive accountability within Product Management, Offering Leadership, Global / Regional Business & Finance stakeholders to ensure successful Go-Live.Critical Targets to meet
Drive transparency and predictability (early warning indicators) within the product delivery portfolio, across Release Trains, leveraging available tools / dashboards / metrics (effort, schedule, cost, revenue, defects, risks, impediments) Focus on On-time, On-Cost (EAC and UPC) launches for supporting Revenue goals of the business for NPI & O&M efforts. Schedule, Cost, and Effort Compliance: On-time Launch, Revenue Say / Do, and continuous incremental improvement of delivery cycle time. Strengthen deployment of Z21 Process in NPI Phase gate artifact compliance (drive accountability in contributing functions).100% coverage in all NPIs within Release Train.Skills

Have ability to communicate efficiently and effectively (written / oral / presentation) across large spectrum of leadership hierarchies to enable transparency & garner support as necessary to resolve strategic / operational challenges. Negotiation, Stakeholder Management: Proficient in negotiation (creating win-win outcomes) & influencing in a multi-cultural setup; Ability to drive consensus in a diverse set of stakeholders W2W Project Management: Plans and executes with project management principles / practices across x-functional teams (ISC, Marketing, Legal, Sales, Operations, etc); drives estimation, dependencies, milestones, and integration goals Program Portfolio Performance / Status management and reporting to Executives and Leadership per organizational cadence. Problem Solving: Follows a structured problem-solving approach; demonstrates thought and operational agility in dealing with uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, in execution and decisions. Technical: Solid understanding of engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical) life cycle models. Exposure to Cloud, IOT, Data analytics, UI Technologies, Embedded Firmware is preferred. Control Systems domain knowledge preferable. Vendor Management: Effectively builds partnering relationships with 3rd party ODMs/OEMs, Vendor evaluation, interface, and management as required.Agile: Expertise on Scaled Agile methodologies, catalyst in transforming organizational culture to bring in agility & predictability in delivery.HTSIND2022
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Engineering, or Masters in Math / Science / Computers, with overall >17 Yrs. of experience and >10 yrs in end-to-end multi-site / global product program management. Must Have: Exposure to Multi-disciplinary (H/w, S/w, F/w) programs incl. Vendor & Supplier engagement / management. Experience in program execution with Agile CI / CD, exposure to roles such as Release Train Engineer / Release Train Program Manager preferred. Exposure to tools such as Jira / Rally or equivalent, Microsoft Project, Configuration Management, CI, CD, Visio, and all Microsoft Office Tools Experience in leading culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams. Proven track record of managing short cycle complex programs and product deliveries creating incremental revenue impact (> Min. $10M Incremental revenue over 3 years based on business case).
