Kforce has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a Lead Project Estimator. Summary: This is a leadership role within the team. In this role, the Lead Project Estimator will be a key member of the inventive and vibrant Estimating Team and will support design, planning, and budgeting of projects. They will collaborate with cross functional teams involved in project development, planning and execution to develop project estimates and improve estimating tools. Day to day responsibilities include leading and preparing estimates, the development of pricing models, and evaluating new technological innovations in the industry. The Lead Project Estimator will have the ability to grow their skillset, as our team also works on a large portfolio of technologies including wind, utility scale solar, distributed solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution lines, substations, water treatment, 5G & fiber, hydrogen, pipelines, and fossil generation. Responsibilities: * Develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects; CapEx models include all engineering, material, direct, and indirect costs * Provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, staffing considerations during the estimating process, and presenting results up to E&C management * Prepares capital cost estimates * Reviews designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate * Coordinates with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources * Reviews layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate
