Job Overview

This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects. CapEx models include all engineering, material, direct construction, and indirect construction costs. Employees in this role provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, staffing considerations during the estimating process, and presenting results up to E&C management.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares capital cost estimates Reviews designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate vacc Coordinates with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources Reviews layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate Remains current with technology and industry evolution, assuring that capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions Establishes, builds and implements metrics for cost and construction estimate checks Mentors and develops junior members of the team Performs other job-related duties as assigned  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Experience:7+ years Proficient with Excel

 

 Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in the following Fields of Study Engineering – Mechanical Engineering – Civil Engineering – Electrical Construction Science Construction Management Experience:10+ years Field Experience: 5+ years Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in renewables or transmission projects
