Roles and Responsibilities

Facilitate, coordinate, and track day-to-day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract. Specifically: Work closely with the Customer, Order Management Specialist, Manufacturing, and Field Teams (e.g., Install, Clinical Education Support, Sales) to effectively coordinate the delivery and installation process.

Develop project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities. Create, update, and distribute project documentation, including contact lists, schedules, meeting summaries and action item lists.

Communicate all the requirements and commitments (both verbally and in writing) for each project with GEHC staff and management. Display excellent communication and facilitation skills in management of installation projects.   

Provide leadership and direction for GEHC personnel responsible for the project. Participate in weekly meetings (internal and external) to provide direction, advise project status, delegate actions/activities and overall, successfully execute the project requirements.  Manage projects in accordance with key performance metrics. 

Manage revenue associated with projects. 

Act as an effective team coordinator for all matrixed staff.

Adopt a proactive approach to identify risks to project success, engage in mitigation activities to ensure projects stay on track. Proactively resolve and/or escalate issues across functions regarding equipment delivery, installation timelines, site readiness, training schedules, material availability, etc., to meet customer commitments and GE targets for orders, sales, and revenue. 

Maintain an accurate list of deliveries with an up to date project list.

Identify, propose and/or participate in development of process improvements for the Healthcare Project Management team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical field experience; or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 5 years progressive experience in a technical field or a minimum of five years of Project Management experience

Ability to work effectively in difficult and fast paced environment

Ability to work independently managing multiple projects and competing priorities to meet scheduled completion dates and customer expectations

Demonstrated experience with large-scale project management where deadlines were met on or ahead of schedule (e.g., construction, healthcare IT, equipment installations experience)

Ability to work with and communicate with diverse work partners internal and external to GE and our customers

Ability to work effectively from a remote home office location

Ability to work with and influence fellow team members to achieve mutual goals

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Applications

Willingness to travel including overnight stays when necessary

Must have a valid driver’s license

Desired Characteristics

Master's degree or Project Management Certificate

Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a customer-friendly manner

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Demonstrated customer service experience working in a clinical environment

Ability to provide constructive feedback to installation teams and contractors

Knowledge or experience within the healthcare industry and GE Healthcare products

Proficient in project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheets, TaskRay)

Six Sigma certification and/or experience in Lean methodology
