We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Market Development (RMD) team at Mercer. This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, or Halifax, and it is a hybrid role with the requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Lead Proposal Specialist, you will be responsible for writing and project managing the proposal process, ensuring that our submissions are compelling, compliant, and leverage best practices to drive growth. You will provide strategic guidance throughout the proposal lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality proposals that resonate with our clients.
We will count on you to:
Lead the proposal writing process, crafting clear, persuasive, and tailored content that addresses client needs and showcases Mercer’s value proposition, primarily focusing in our Wealth business including investment consulting opportunities while supporting other practices (Career and MMB) as neededEnsure compliance with client requirements and timely submissions, acting as a strategic advisor to consultants on positioning and messagingLeverage winning deal strategies to drive growth and succeed in high-impact proposals, coaching consulting teams on delivering the best of the firmPrepare finalist presentations to capture new business and maintain existing client relationships across industriesRegularly update and manage the content proposal database to streamline future submissions and ensure access to the latest information and best practicesWhat you need to have:
5+ years of senior proposal management experience in professional services or a large/global multidisciplinary organization, with a strong preference for candidates with a track record in industries such as HR consulting, law, or accounting.Extensive experience in working with and coaching multi-faceted teams to create client-facing presentations.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.Outstanding project management skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.Proven experience in leading complex, technically focused proposal (RFP response) opportunities.What makes you stand out?

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $106,500 to $176,500.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
