The Lead Quality Assurance is responsible for performing all functions involved in quality assurance and test execution for new application functionality and interfaces. The role requires senior-level experience and provides deep technical expertise and knowledge. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and functionality of applications and interfaces through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical peers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Design, develop, and analyze test plans and strategies using advanced testing techniques.
• Write and execute test cases and troubleshoot defects for applications.
• Develop integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies between organizations and programs.
• Utilize architectural skills to develop data and environment strategies that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
• Perform End-to-End (E2E) testing, encompassing the entire customer experience, including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service.
• Conduct integrated IT/Network tests to ensure services function correctly, are billed properly, and issues can be resolved or managed.
**Technical Skills and Experience:**
• Automation Testing: Over 2 years of experience in automation testing and familiarity with automation methodologies. In-depth knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Ginger, or similar.
• Programming Languages: Over 2 years of experience with Java or Python and Unix & SQL. Hands-on experience with at least one relevant tool.
• Telecommunication Experience: Knowledge and experience in the telecommunication industry, business, and cross-portfolio knowledge is advantageous.
• Application Architecture and Technology: Strong understanding of application architecture design and technology.
• DevOps and Tools: Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, and cloud monitoring tools. Experience with Kafka, Couchbase, and microservices testing is a plus.
• Agile and DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices is beneficial.
Key Technical Responsibilities:
• Develop coding automation scripts and utilities in alignment with the defined scope.
• Apply structural design techniques to ensure adequate test coverage.
• Collaborate with technical peers (developers, architects, operations engineers) to resolve technical issues and bottlenecks.
• Design and review test cases and scenarios.
• Execute test cases, ensuring full coverage of test scenarios as per plans.
• Provide recommendations for resolving issues and propose improvements to the code, system optimization, and architecture.
• Create documentation, test ware, and work products for testing activities.
• Ensure high-quality documentation for requirement traceability and compliance with system requirements, internal standards, and client needs.
• Participate in and/or lead formal knowledge transfer and informal reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Git, Kafka, Postman, Java, Springboot, and Kubernetes
**Education and Experience:**
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering; Developer nanodegree, or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 5-8 years of experience.
• Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
Our Lead Quality Assurance, earns between $106,100.00-$178,200.00 USD Annual , Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
