Senior Automation Tester
Locations: Basking Ridge, NJ
Required Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6 - 8 years of strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and test case design.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation.
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
• Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo for automated test integration.
• Ensure that log data meets compliance requirements by verifying proper log retention policies and data integrity.
• Test log analysis capabilities to identify potential compliance violations.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proficiency in log analysis tools Kibana, Glassbox, Content Square
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for log analysis automation
• Knowledge of security practices and threat identification
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clear and concise test reports documenting findings and recommendations
Roles/Responsibilities:
• Analyze the difficulties faced by customers and track the issues as defects.
• Triage and obtain test logs/evidence on the production issues.
• Analyze Kibana logs and Glassbox sessions/customer journey to identify the issue originating component in the workflow
• Analyze business requirements to determine the test strategy covered
• Develop new test scripts are role and responsibility of the selenium automation test engineer
• Maintain existing test scripts/regression suites, refer to the regression testing tutorial for more details.
• Attend Agile meetings (Daily scrum meeting/Sprint planning/Backlog refinement) on assigned projects
• Carry out regression suites
• Provide results to project managers/developers/manual testers and partners.
• Understand the business requirements, application, and its components.
• Update Framework functions when needed
• Develop and complete the Automation Test Scripts
• Review the Test Reports and Preparing Test Summary Reports.
Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 - $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
