Lead Quality Engineer

Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers at the (insert site) that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Quality:

They\n lead complex Six Sigma projects aimed at improving processes within the\n NPD framework, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.Black\n Belt can run DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects\n specifically tailored to enhance product quality.

Statistical\n Analysis and Validation:

Utilizing\n their expertise, the Black Belt conducts in-depth statistical analyses to\n validate processes and product designs.They\n provide advanced modeling techniques to predict product performance and\n identify potential failure points before they occur.

Cross-Functional\n Collaboration:

Collaborating\n with the Lead Quality Engineer, ensures that quality initiatives are\n supported by statistical data, leading to informed decision-making\n throughout the development process.They\n bridge the gap between technical teams and management by presenting\n complex quality concepts in an understandable manner.

Problem-Solving\n Techniques:

They\n employ advanced problem-solving methodologies like root cause analysis\n with sophisticated tools (e.g., control charts, process mapping) to\n identify and solve quality issues during NPD.Their\n proficiency in problem-solving strategies allows for quicker resolution\n of quality concerns, saving time and resources.

Continuous\n Improvement Framework:

Instrumental\n in establishing a robust continuous improvement framework that is\n data-driven and sustainable.Implementing\n Lean principles alongside Six Sigma, they enhance the process efficiency\n and reduce waste in the product development cycle.

Performance\n Metrics and Reports:

Develop\n performance metrics related to quality outcomes and improvements,\n enabling better tracking and reporting of NPD results.Metrics\n  to align with organizational goals\n and industry standards.

YOU MUST HAVE: 

Certification:

A\n Black Belt certification (Honeywell), typically from recognized\n organizations such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or the\n International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC), is\n essential.

Experience:

Extensive\n experience in leading Six Sigma projects, preferably in a product\n development context, is often required.

Advanced\n Analytical Skills:

Mastery\n of statistical analysis, experimental design, and process optimization\n techniques.

Leadership\n and Influence:

Ability\n to influence organizational quality culture through leadership and\n effective communication.

Project\n Management Skills:

Proficiency\n in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on\n quality goals and deadlines.
