What this position entails

IntelliScript’s Information Technology team has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this role, you will be responsible for defining our overall quality roadmap, with an emphasis on transitioning from manual to automated testing. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for more immediate process improvements that can enhance our testing efficiency and effectiveness. 

Your role will entail mentoring and coaching of our quality assurance engineers, pairing with them and our development teams, and collaboration across the practice. You will work closely with the development, product, and operations teams to ensure that our quality objectives are aligned with our business goals and customer expectations. You will also be expected to define and implement quality metrics, standards, and best practices, and monitor and report on the quality performance and issues. This role involves hands-on automation in our quality space, as well as strategic planning for how we advance our people, processes, and technologies as we expand and modernize our applications. 

What you’ll be doing

Plan, develop, and execute IntelliScript’s strategic quality and automation road map that aligns with business objectives and customer needs Mentor, support, and pair with teams implementing test automation, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing Manage one or more automation engineers while facilitating collaboration across our quality assurance engineers embedded in scrum teams Lead tactical initiatives to guide development teams toward best practices and increased automation Drive the evaluation and documentation of 3rd-party testing tools, and help define the strategy for their integration into the overall test plan Work with the development teams to create standardized documentation and test management procedures Oversee the code deployment process, guiding development teams on building in quality and automation to ensure smooth deployments to production.

What we need                                                                                 

10+ years of experience in automated and manual testing (related degrees / certifications a plus), with strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices. Prior experience with leading by influence and mentoring team members Experience building and testing in AWS Experience elevating the quality practices of software development teams, pertaining to both legacy stack and future modernization Experience with full software development lifecycle practices Ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and existing technologies Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication Self-motivated team player who can run with a project and is willing to pitch in as needed

Location

This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed.

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $198,000 depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. In addition, we offer a significant performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
