Ubisoft Bordeaux
Founded in 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux works with passion on the biggest AAA titles to deliver the best gaming experiences. Today, the studio is composed of 400 talents from 20 different nationalities, working on licenses such as Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and a free to play game, BattleCore Arena. At the same time, the studio has set up a Tech branch which works on all Ubisoft's online services (named Online Services) as well as on the Anvil game engine. Ubisoft Bordeaux is also home to a R&D team, La Forge, which brings together engineers and researchers to work together on prototypes for game production, particularly around AI topics.
Job DescriptionAs a Lead Quest Designer within the Assassin's Creed brand, you will be managing a team of Quest Designers. In collaboration with the Narrative and Design teams, you will participate in and be responsible for the design and implementation of quest arcs and related systems. Your mission will be to align your team's needs and deliverables with the creative direction of the project and associated constraints.
YOUR MISSIONS:
Lead a team of quest designers, helping them grow in their professional expertise and in their interactions with various stakeholders, and support their career management with HR teamsIn conjunction with the producing teams, evaluate the feasibility of the project's creative ambitions, define and maintain the roadmaps for quest designers and their various assignments, and track their deliverablesCollaborate with different teams (Design, Art, Narrative, etc.) on the project to develop innovative missions/quests that align with the overall vision of the gameDevelop relationships with different departments and managers to optimize the team's work and dependencies, serving as the main point of contact for Quest contentContinuously evaluate the quality, accessibility, clarity, and difficulty level of the team's productions and the project, providing tailored feedback to various stakeholdersQualificationsPrevious experience in Quest/Mission Design on AAA projectsDesired experience in open-world gamesExperience in team managementStrong curiosity and general knowledge beyond video gamesExcellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and EnglishRigor, adaptability, autonomy, and self-criticismAdditional InformationAdditional Information:
