The Lead Radiology Support Professional is responsible for direct oversight of 4 main functions within the department:
Customer Service Associate/Department Operator for the department of radiology with customers and physicians. Scheduling of appointments based on the physician’s orders and the needs of the individual patient. Image and report management and exchange (addendums, burning, importing, exporting, mailing, etc). Check in and registration of patients receiving care within the radiology departments.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma required (Associate’s Degree in a Healthcare discipline with three to five years experience in a healthcare setting is preferred) Experience working within Ellis Medicine IT systems is required Scheduling and customer service experience is required Experience as a lead or supervisor of people and/or systems is preferred Excellent interpersonal skills are required Knowledge and understanding of hospital functions is helpful Medical terminology background is highly preferable Ability to function in a high stress environment is requiredRESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Willingness and flexibility to change hours as needed and on short notice. Excellent communication with the patient, radiologists, and physician’s office, and other hospital departments while maintaining high degree of professionalism and positive customer relations is vital. Goals include optimizing all schedules and appointments of all modalities, meeting department objectives. Assist supervisor with HR related issues and initiatives including but not limited to employee annual evaluation forms. Accuracy: of patient registration, verification of demographics, insurance and financial information. Cross training- required to cross train and support all programs and other duties assigned to them. Assist with employee training. Provide coverage / assistance based on the needs of the department. Assist with process improvement plans & implementation. Attend departmental and organizational meetings. Salary Range: $17.46-25.32 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
