Summary The Rumpel Fitness Center is Ft McCoy's full-service fitness facility that features a range of cardiovascular equipment, free weights & everything needed for community members to achieve their fitness goals. The facility features a pool for lap swimming & a sauna/steam room for relaxation. The staff execute a variety of events and activities throughout the year including fitness classes, runs and basketball/volleyball tournaments. Responsibilities Leads a staff of 3-12 employees who perform work up to the NF-0189-03 level. Leads and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. Sets the pace of work to be performed. May train lower graded or new employees. Supports recreational activities by instructing and/or assisting in group fitness classes and proper exercise techniques, proper use of equipment to prevent injury, safety measures, cardiovascular training, stretching, weight training. Supports aquatic facility through lifeguarding and instructing and/or assisting with swim lessons and water aerobics. May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for a variety of sponsored events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
