Here, you will work with and learn from some of our best caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world In this role, you will provide clinical leadership to the Respiratory Therapy Department staff within the designated specialty area while performing the duties of a Registered Respiratory Therapist. **A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm-7:30am with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide clinical leadership to the respiratory staff as designated by departmental management + Monitor daily operations of assigned areas and acts as a resource person for staff + Assign therapist workload and adjusts staffing based on patient volume + Participate in continuous quality improvement + Provide feedback on staff performance + Assist with development and implementation of Respiratory Therapy Policy/Procedures/Protocols + Act as a Respiratory Care liaison by developing/maintaining communication with the multidisciplinary care team. + Assist with developing and providing ongoing orientation/training for newly hired therapists, existing staff, nursing, and LIPs. + Perform patient education regarding treatment and care of respiratory illness/disease to patient and family (at sites where applicable). + If the employee is designated as a Technical Consultant by the blood gas Laboratory Director, the employee must meet minimum qualifications as specified by the CLIA code of federal regulations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Associate's degree. + Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy. + 3 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including critical care and/or a specialty environment. + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC. + Respiratory Care Processional (RCP) Ohio Board licensure. + Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) ​ Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's degree. + Prior people leadership experience. + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
